Hands-On Dental Implant Training for Confident Clinical Practice
Practical implantology, prosthodontics and mentorship from a multispecialty faculty led by an oral and maxillofacial surgeon.
The International Implant Institute provides dental implant training for general dentists, from a 5-day hands-on Mini Residency in Manassas, Virginia, to live patient surgery in Cancún and accredited online CE. Founded by oral and maxillofacial surgeon Dr. Julia L. Jackson, our courses are taught by surgeons, prosthodontists and periodontists, and are ADA CERP and AGD PACE accredited. You start with no implant experience, plan cases from a CBCT, practice on models, and move to placing implants on screened patients with a mentor beside you.

Why General Dentists Choose the International Implant Institute
Our implant courses for general dentists are built around what you do with your hands, who teaches you, and what you can use in your practice on Monday.
Hands-On From Day One
You place implants in model surgery and work through a suture workshop, so the steps feel familiar before you ever touch a patient.
A 20-Module Mini Residency
Twenty modules over five days take you from diagnosis and CBCT planning to grafting, placement, restoration and complications.
Surgical and Prosthodontic Training
You learn to place the implant and to restore it, so you can plan each case from the final tooth backward.
A Multi-Specialty Faculty
Oral and maxillofacial surgeons, a prosthodontist and a periodontist teach every format, led by founder Dr. Julia L. Jackson.
Clinical and Business Learning
Alongside surgery, you cover medical billing, employment contracts and full-arch case acceptance, the parts that make implants work for a practice.
A Destination Option in Cancún
When you are ready to place, the Cancún course gives you live patient surgery on screened patients with a mentor in every operatory.

Mini Residency in Dental Implantology and Prosthodontics
Our dental implant mini residency is a 5-day, in-person program in Manassas, Virginia, for general dentists with no prior implant experience. It runs 20 modules from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm each day, in small cohorts of 6 to 10 dentists.
You learn to read a CBCT and plan a case, then place implants in model surgery and practice grafting and suturing. On day 5 you observe live oral surgery with the faculty. ACLS and PALS certification are included, so you leave with your emergency preparedness up to date.
Each day mixes lecture with hands-on work, so you practice a step the same day you learn it. The modules cover diagnosis and treatment planning, CBCT and anatomy, extraction and grafting, placement, prosthetics, complications and emergency preparedness.
Tuition is $3,650. Dental assistants can attend with you at the staff rate of $1,825. The next cohorts start Nov 16, 2026, Jan 11, 2027 and Feb 8, 2027.

Dental Implant Training FAQs
Who are the courses for?
Our courses are built for general dentists who want to add implant placement and restoration to their practice. Specialists join for advanced grafting and live surgery reps. Hygienists and office teams take the online billing and business courses, and assistants can join the Mini Residency at a staff rate of $1,825.
Are the courses hands-on?
Yes. As a hands-on dental implant course, the Mini Residency has you place implants in model surgery and practice grafting and suturing, then observe live surgery on day 5. In Cancún you place up to 15 implants yourself on screened patients, with a faculty mentor in every operatory.
Do the courses offer CE credits?
Yes. We are an ADA CERP recognized provider with AGD PACE approval, so our dental implant continuing education counts toward your license. The Cancún course carries 16 AGD credits, the Mini Residency carries XX credits, and online courses carry 0 to 5 each.
What experience do I need?
None for the Mini Residency or the Cancún Beginner track. You need a valid dental license, and we teach the rest, from reading a CBCT to placing your first implant. Dentists who already place implants can choose the Cancún All-on-4 track for full-arch cases.
Are international dentists welcome?
Yes. Past attendees include dentists from outside the US, including Egypt. License requirements differ by course and country, especially for live patient surgery, so [Note for client: confirm license requirements for international dentists].
